DDCAP – Executive Partner of IFN Forum Asia 2016

DDCAP were delighted to be an Executive Partner of the IFN Asia Forum which was held at the Shangri – La Hotel Jakarta on the 6th & 7th of April 2016.

The opening keynote address was given by Dr Sofyan Djalil Minister of National Development Planning and Head of National Development Planning Agency, Republic of Indonesia.

DDCAP Deputy CEO Lawrence Oliver was pleased to be invited as a moderator to the Investor Roundtable: Mapping Asia’s Investment Landscape to discuss on the Islamic Fund management future in the light of the recent contraction of emerging markets and oil prices declines with other panellists such as Gerald Ambrose CEO, Aberdeen Islamic Asset Management, Malaysia, Michael Orzano Director, Global Equity Indices, S&P Dow Jones Indices USA and  Monem Salam — President, Saturna Malaysia.

Other speakers at the forum include but not limited to Dr Mulya E. Siregar Deputy Commissioner of Banking Supervision, Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK), Ibrahim Hassan CEO and Managing Director, RHB Islamic Bank, Prof. Siraj Sait Director of the Center for Islamic Finance, Law and Communities (CIFLAC), University of East London, Rafe Haneef CEO and Executive Director, CIMB Islamic Bank, Najmuddin Mohd Lutfi CEO, BIMB Investment Management and  Todd Schubert Managing Director, Fixed Income Research, Bank of Singapore.

The Forum was well attended and innovative market developments were discussed with the objective of assessing the prospects of Islamic capital and finance in major Asian economies and the region at large.
